bioMérieux Selects Brainware to Automate Accounts Payable

Global Biotechnology Firm Chooses Brainware Distiller to Process Financial Documents

December 28, 2009, Ashburn, VA —Brainware, Inc., an innovative provider of intelligent data capture and enterprise search solutions, today announced that bioMérieux, a global biotechnology company headquartered in Lyon, France,  has selected the company’s Brainware Distiller™ solution to automate its accounts payable process. bioMérieux maintains a global presence across 150 countries and processes hundreds of thousands of invoices and credit notes per year.  The new solution will enable bioMérieux to harmonize accounts payable processes throughout the organization and spread best practices across countries, as well as to integrate this process with its SAP enterprise resource planning system which will be rolled out in the next two years.

Under this multi-year agreement, the company will leverage Brainware’s intelligent data capture solution to automatically extract and validate complex header and line item data, intelligently route exceptions to approvers, and access real-time key performance indicators and business metrics pertaining to suppliers and related invoices.
